I’ve never cared much for playing songs from a sheet of paper. I listen until it gets under my skin, then play it on the piano by feel, not by the book.
The result is relaxed, live piano that fits naturally into a lounge, a bar or a private event: songs everyone knows, played with a personal touch.

About
Behind the piano
My name is Maloo Kalkkinen. I live in Helsinki, Finland. By profession, I work in branding and marketing, and music is my biggest passion outside of work.
I believe in moments of emotional connection: stories told through the keys that bring us together.
Music has such a powerful way of touching people. Whatever is going on in the lives of the people in the room, music feels like a language that belongs to everyone, and it touches each of us in a different way. To me, that is both fascinating and deeply rewarding.
Over the years, I’ve played at
- Hotel lounges and Sunday brunches
- Weddings, from the ceremony to the last dance
- Private parties and corporate evenings
- Dinner shows and concerts with The Goggles
Also on stage
